Born in Indonesia, Kathrin was raised in the “Ruhrgebiet”, where she completed her vocational training as a professional tailor before graduating in Clothing Technology from Hochschule Niederrhein, University of Applied Sciences, in Mönchengladbach.
During the last 15 years, Kathrin gained deep insight into the clothing industry value chain, visiting many countries in Europe and Asia including extended stays in Turkey, India and China. Starting off working for large Germany and Hongkong based corporates, she moved on to become an expert in corporate fashion working for many leading German brands at united fashion service.
While managing these projects with complex requirements, such as certified personal protective equipment for motorcycle riders, she has a leading role in Quality and Process Management. Furthermore she is the go-to for all questions regarding physical- and chemical textile testing and regulatory requirements.
Beside her role in united fashion service Kathrin works as an consultant with a focus on ethical supply chains and responsible sourcing strategies.
